UPDATE AND CHRISTMAS DAY SERVICE REMINDER About 60 people French and English joined in the celebrations, the service was followed by the traditional mulled wine and mince pies, fruit cake and stollen. It was a lovely occasion and was attended by the Maire of Vernet, Mme Jalibert, who read one of the lessons. Also there and taking a part in leading the service was Pere Paul de Tarse the leader of the community at St Martin du Canigo, who now has resposibility for the Catholic church in Vernet-Les-Bains. Pere Paul read the final lesson and gave the blessing at the end. A good collection was taken and given to the Catholic church for the ministry of the parish. We have a service on Christmas Day at 10.00am at the chapelle Notre Dame du Paradis in Vernet Every blessing this Christmas, don’t forget he’s the reason for the season,

 

 

St.George’s Vernet-Les-Bains are holding their annual carol service in the ’chapelle’ below the ’place’ on the 6th of December at 7.00pm.

The service will in English of seven lessons and carols followed by mulled wine and mince pies.
