Festival Sirocco - Perpignan
Every May, the Sirocco festival puts together a week of concerts, theatre, dance, music, fine arts and various exhibitions at different venues in the centre of Perpignan. It is a meeting of culture and creativity, inspired by sound and image from Africa, Morocco, Spain, Andalusia and Catalonia, an occasion for Perpignan to receive professional and amateur artistes from all over the Mediterranean in an atmosphere of exchange, discovery and respect of traditions and customs.
Concerts, conferences, dance, music and various exhibitions at different venues all around Perpignan. If you like Latin American dance and music, flamenco, jazz and raunchy percussion, Perpignan is the place to be over this week. Most of these events are free, with the aim of promoting and celebrating Latin America and Catalonia in an atmosphere of fun and colour.
