JOHNNY CLEGG “Human Tower”
Thuir welcomes Johnny Clegg, British-born musician and anthropologist from South Africa, author of “Asimbonanga” (We have not seen him) international hit in 1987, evoking the incarceration of Nelson Mandela on Robben Island. With his new album “Human”, Johnny Clegg is on tour to continue to deliver its messages of fighting in a world plagued by social injustice and armed conflict.
Sometimes called Le Zoulou Blanc (“The White Zulu”), he is an important figure in South African popular music history, with songs that mix Zulu with English lyrics and African with various Western music styles.
