Watch out for the new 10 euros note, which should be in circulation from 23rd September 2014

The BCC (Banque centrale européenne) suggests that you compare new and old banknotes online so you can understand the difference in graphics (currency name in Latin, Greek and Cyrillic, BCC initials  in nines language variants, map of Europe) and safety devices (security thread, watermark portrait, portrait hologram, emerald number, embossing).

This second note in a new series of euro banknotes is characterized by the representation of a portrait of Europe (Greek mythological figure) in the watermark and the hologram of each denomination. Its implementation will take several years, it will be available in 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 euros
