Domaine Treloar Pre-Harvest Festival
To celebrate the beginning of the 2009 harvest, Domaine Treloar are holding an enjoyable day of Grapes, Wine, Food and Live Music at Domaine Treloar on SUNDAY 23rd August 2009.
Tickets for the event are €15 per person which includes participation in the grape sampling, a plate at the barbecue and a contribution to the band plus a donation to the charity Cancer Support France. Children only cost their age in Euros! (under 2’s free).
Tickets must be reserved/purchased in advance so we can ensure we have enough brochettes & wine!

16:30 Grape Sampling in the Vineyard
Come to the the vineyard to take part in grape tasting and sampling. Join Jon to help asses the ripeness of the different grapes. Learn how we sample grapes and decide picking dates.
Meet at the winery from 16:00 or take your cars directly to the Roubau Vineyard directly opposite the junction of Traverse de Thuir and the D612 (the main Thuir-Elne road), after passing the Cellier de Trouillas.
Children’s Pottery
Nathalie will be here throughout the event with her pottery activities for your children.
18:00 Barbecue at the Winery
Rachel will be serving up delicious brochettes accompanied by couscous & salads. All our wines are available by the glass or the bottle.
19:00 "Rosé is Rosy" recital by Irish poet Augustus Young
Augustus Young was born Cork, Ireland in 1943. He has published twenty books (poetry, autofiction, plays). Most recently Light Years (London Magazine Books, 2002) and The Nicotine Cat and Other People (New Island, Dublin, 2009). He now lives all the year round in Port Vendres.
