FETE DE L’ORANGE - BANYULS SUR MER
Produce market, orange trees, orange tarts, orange juice, orange jam, orange pie, orange rissoles...... if it’s orange, you’ll find it in Banyuls on Saturday 14th - Sunday 15th January, along with other entertainment throughout the day such as pony rides, bouncy castle, mechanical rodeo, trial bike demos, fairground stalls and tombola. At 15h30 on Sunday, look out for the initiation of new members into the ’confrérie des oranges stréssées’ - the squeezed orange brotherhood.... Freemasons beware!
Not always quite the big event expected, and has tended to be just a little market selling oranges, and a few extras some years!!
