FETE de la SAINT-PIERRE "PATRON DES PECHEURS"
Fish and fishermen are central to the economy of Port Vendres, so a celebration of Saint Peter, the patron saint of fishemen, is hardly surprising?
Exhibitions, treasure hunt, music in the streets, jousting, photo competition, window dressing competition, Paëlla.....
SATUDAY
All day – stalls with a sea theme, (model boats, coral…….), bodegas, entertainment for children (face painting, drawing competition on the theme of the sea, fishing etc, magic show, balloon sculpture……
- Morning: market - place de l’obélisque
- 11h : Parade of the ‘jouteurs de Sète’ (jousting)
- 12h : Giant paëlla (10 € - reservations 06 72 73 45 65) - Place Castellane
+ sea food stands in local restaurants.
- 15h : Nautical jousting competition - port
- 17h : craft market - quai Joly
- 19h : Giant sardinade (10€) parking du port de plaisance with Salsa + sea food stands in local restaurants.
- 20h30to midnight: Night sea fishing (all equipment provided - 25€ fishermen - 10€ for those just along for the ride). More info: 06 33 04 21 37
- 21h30 à 1h : Bal with Pépé and the News Gypsis
- 22h30 : Firworks
SUNDAY

- Saint Pierre ceremony (mass at 10h, musical procession with Cobla Tres Vents at 11h15)
- 13h : Giant sardinade - Vieux port
- 15 h : Visit of fishing boats and port (eépart 15h from the office de tourisme)
